Erba barona thyme

This plant, which is endemic to Corsica, can have different aromas depending on the variety. Here we use the 3 varieties of erba barona thyme: lemony, honeyed and peppery. These very rare plants are cultivated by the Alma Salvatica association.

Nepeta

Nepita, an endemic plant from the Corsican maquis, has a complex flavour, a blend of mint and marjoram with a hint of lemon. It brings freshness and persistence to our Bonifatu herbal liqueur.

Myrte

In summer, the Corsican Myrtle is adorned with white flowers with a delicate fragrance. They then turn into the spicy black berries used to make the Corsican plant liqueur Bonifatu.

Immortelle

Corsican immortelle adds the smooth texture and floral notes of Bonifatu.

Bonifatu

The name was chosen in reference to the famous Bonifatu forest, or place of blessing and good fortune. This forest certainly hides a few fairies (fata in Corsican) in the meanders of the Figarella river.

With BONIFATU, we’ve bottled the maquis! We wanted to capture the characteristic scents of an arrival in Corsica, that pleasant sensory shock. This 55% vol. liqueur is more Mediterranean than other more ‘alpine’ plant liqueurs. It can be enjoyed chilled, as a digestive, or as a cocktail.
